Did you know?
« In Europe, approximately 8 million dogs suffer from skin or digestive symptoms related to their diet. For 16 million dogs, environmental allergies (such as mites, pollen, fleas, etc.) are the cause of these symptoms. »
By offering Treatsy Allergy treats combined with Treatsy Skin & Coat nutritional oil, you stimulate your dog’s immunity and help reduce skin symptoms related to allergies.
It is estimated that around 8 million dogs in Europe suffer from skin or digestive symptoms related to their diet. This indicates a form of food sensitivity or intolerance. (…)
At the same time, approximately 16 million dogs in Europe suffer from skin disorders, most of which are caused by environmental allergies (pollen, mites, fleas, etc.).
For both types of conditions, the symptoms can often be similar, particularly in terms of skin issues: the appearance of red patches and/or flakes, itching, hair loss, unpleasant odor, external ear infections, etc. Therefore, it is not always easy to diagnose the true cause of these symptoms.
A dog suffering from food allergies or intolerances experiences an exaggerated immune response to an allergen. The most common canine allergens are beef (36%), dairy products (28%), wheat (15%), eggs (10%), chicken (9.6%), and lamb and sheep (6.6%). It is important to note that food intolerances or allergies always result from the body’s reaction to a protein the animal has consumed. Fats and carbohydrates do not cause allergies or intolerances.
Sometimes, food intolerances or allergies can also lead to digestive issues, such as vomiting, flatulence, or diarrhea.
If your dog exhibits one or more of these symptoms, we recommend consulting a veterinarian promptly. They will likely advise implementing an elimination diet to identify the allergen to which your dog is sensitive or diagnose an external allergy, in which case several solutions are available.
How does it work?
The Treatsy Allergy & Treatsy Skin & Coat duo will provide your dog with a very high concentration of scientifically proven active ingredients to boost your dog’s immunity and help combat digestive and skin symptoms related to allergies.
1 – Omega-3 Fatty Acids, EPA & DHA: They help reduce skin inflammation that can occur due to scratching and biting. With over 41% Omega-3, 10% EPA, and 7% DHA in our oil, they play a crucial role in combating the inflammatory cycle and thus promote the healing of skin wounds.
2 – Omega-6 Fatty Acids GLA: They contribute to the rebuilding of the lipid layer of the epidermis and promote a smooth and silky coat.
3 – Probiotics and L-Glutamine: Probiotics from 2 different strains (Bacillus Subtilis & Lactobacillus Helveticus) help enrich and strengthen the intestinal flora. L-Glutamine also supports this by promoting proper permeability of the intestinal barrier. Together, probiotics and glutamine contribute to digestive comfort and a balanced intestinal environment.
4 – Superior Omega-3/Omega-6 Ratio: By providing significantly more Omega-3 than Omega-6, our functional oil effectively combats inflammation at all levels, particularly at the skin level.
5 – Green-Lipped Mussel: This marine source, rich in glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce some symptoms of mobility disorders.
6 – Harpagophytum (Devil’s Claw): This medicinal plant, rich in iridoids, has strong anti-inflammatory properties. According to several studies in humans, harpagophytum reduces joint stiffness in individuals suffering from arthritis.
7 – Turmeric: Contains active nutrients with anti-inflammatory properties.
