Amino acids
The structure of the fur is mainly made up of keratin (a protein), which is formed by amino acids. The amino acids methionine and phenylalanine are essential for maintaining coat color.
Vitamins A, B and E
Vit A is essential for keratinization. Vit E (an antioxidant) promotes the stability of the cell membrane. B vitamins such as biotin [B8], riboflavin [B2], niacin [B3] and pyridoxine [B6] are essential for maintaining healthy skin.
Omega-3 – EPA & DHA
Together with vitamin E, (a natural antioxidant) Omega-3, EPA and DHA help reduce skin inflammation.
Minerals
The minerals present in our formula, such as Zinc, play an important role for the immune system and the replenishment of the skin.

The skin is the largest organ in the body and therefore constitutes the first line of defense against external aggressions such as pollen, parasites and wounds. (….)
If animals suffer from a defective skin barrier, we could consider this as cracks in this thick wall, leaving the door open to all possible external aggressions such as pollen and parasites.
Additionally, the skin is an important part of the immune system. Besides this, it plays an important role in maintaining the hydration of the animal. Dogs and cats do not have sweat glands, so loss of moisture in the skin would lead to several health problems. Finally, it serves as a store for important nutrients such as proteins, amino acids and enzymes.
The coat, on the other hand, can be thought of as an insulating layer that keeps your pet’s body temperature regulated.
Caring for your pet’s skin and coat involves “filling the cracks” caused by wear and tear. Feeding your cat or dog the right nutrients will allow the skin to renew itself and fill in those cracks.

How does it work?
The Treatsy Skin & Coat duo will provide your dog with a very high concentration of scientifically proven active ingredients to strengthen your dog’s skin barrier, and give him a soft, shiny and radiant coat:
1 – Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA & DHA: they help reduce skin inflammation, which may be a symptom of a skin disease or which may result from scratching and biting. With more than 41% Omega-3, 10% EPA and 7% DHA present in our oil, they play a crucial role in fighting the inflammatory cycle and thus promote the healing of skin wounds.
2 – Omega-6 fatty acids: these essential fatty acids are essential for reconstituting the lipid layer present on the skin of dogs and cats. Provided in controlled quantities, Omega-6 also promotes the regrowth of dense, smooth and shiny hair.
3 – A higher Omega-3/Omega-6 ratio: by providing much more Omega-3 than Omega-6, our functional oil helps effectively fight inflammation at all levels (skin, joints, etc.). ). The Omega-3 / Omega-6 ratio = 6.2:1. In other words, there are 6.2 times more Omega-3 than Omega-6 in Treatsy Skin & Coat functional oil !
4 – Amino acids: they are extremely important because they contribute to good health, coloring and reconstitution of hair. An amino acid deficiency can cause many visible problems such as brittle hair, epidermal abnormalities, difficult healing, etc.
5 – Vitamins: vitamins, particularly those belonging to group B, play a crucial role in the renewal of skin and hair in dogs. For example, biotin, or vitamin B7, helps reduce hair loss. B vitamins also promote skin hydration, hair growth, etc.
6 – Minerals: several minerals are essential to the health and appearance of your dog’s hair. Zinc helps maintain epidermal integrity and must be provided in sufficient quantity to ensure skin renewal. Manganese is essential for amino acid metabolism and therefore promotes healthy skin and a beautiful coat.

1/2 teaspoon per day (2.5 ml) for a 5 kg dog. Increase by 2.5 ml per 5 kg. Example: 1 teaspoon for a 10kg dog (5ml), 1.5 spoons for a 15kg dog (7.5ml). We recommend pouring the daily dose of oil onto your dog’s usual dry or wet food.
Our heart-shaped treats are very easy to give to your dog.
Each treat measures approximately 2cm and weighs 3g.
Recommended amount according to dog’s weight
< 10 kg 1 treat per day
10 kg – 20 kg 2 treats per day
20 kg – 30 kg 3 treats per day
30 kg – 40 kg 4 treats per day
> 40 kg 5 treats per day
