Amino acids
The structure of the fur is mainly made up of keratin (a protein), formed by amino acids. The amino acids methionine and phenylalanine are essential for maintaining coat color.
Vitamins A, B and E
Vit A is essential for keratinization. Vit E (an antioxidant) promotes the stability of the cell membrane. B vitamins, such as biotin [B8], riboflavin [B2], niacin [B3] and pyridoxine [B6] are essential for maintaining healthy skin.
Omega-3 – EPA & DHA
Together with vitamin E, (a natural antioxidant) Omega-3, EPA and DHA help reduce skin inflammation.
Minerals
The minerals present in our formula, such as zinc, play an important role for the immune system and the replenishment of the skin.

It is a particularly sensitive organ that must be taken care of. In Europe, around 15 million cats (12% of the total) suffer from skin disorders. Healthy skin should be supple, clear (no dark, blackened or reddish areas) and not cracked, scaly or oily. As for the coat, it must be shiny, supple, and smooth.
If your cat loses a lot of hair, has a dull and wiry coat or even bumpy, cracked and flaky skin, there are solutions available to help him recover.

How does it work?
The Treatsy Skin & Coat duo will provide your cat with a very high concentration of scientifically proven active ingredients to strengthen your dog’s skin barrier and give them a soft, shiny, and radiant coat.
1 – Omega-3 fatty acids: together with antioxidants like vitamin E, Omega-3, EPA and DHA help reduce skin inflammation, which may be a symptom of a skin disease, or which may result from repeated scratching and nibbles.
2 – Amino acids: these are extremely important because they contribute to the good health, coloring and reconstitution of hair. For example, sulfur-containing amino acids such as methionine make up keratin, an essential constituent of the cell layer of the epidermis and hair. Phenylalanine is essential for cats with black or fawn coats (light yellowish beige): if the intake is too low, the coat often turns red or becomes dull. Other amino acids play different roles for the health of the skin and coat: an amino acid deficiency can cause many visible problems such as brittle hair, abnormalities with the epidermis, difficult healing, etc.
3 – A high Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio: by providing much more Omega-3 than Omega-6, our functional oil helps effectively fight inflammation at all levels (skin, joints, etc.). The Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio in our oil is 6,2:1. In other words, there are 6,2 times more Omega-3 than Omega-6 in Treatsy Skin & Coat functional oil!
4 – Vitamins: vitamins, particularly those belonging to group B, play a crucial role in the renewal of skin and hair in cats. For example, biotin, also called vitamin B7, helps reduce hair loss. B vitamins also promote skin hydration, hair growth, etc. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect skin and hair cells from damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin A promotes hair growth.
5 – Minerals: several minerals are essential to the health and appearance of your cat’s hair. Zinc is important in regulating many aspects of metabolism, including maintaining healthy skin and coat. It allows the maintenance of epidermal integrity and must be provided in sufficient quantities to ensure the renewal of the skin. Manganese is also a very important mineral; it is essential for amino acid metabolism and therefore promotes healthy skin and a beautiful coat.
Each chew has a width of about 0.6cm and a height of 1.2cm, and weighs 0.75g.
4 chews per day
1/2 teaspoon per day (2.5 ml) per 5kg of weight. Increase gradually by 2.5ml per 5kg.
We recommend pouring the daily dose of oil onto your pet’s usual dry or wet food.

Nutritional Oil: Icelandic fish oil (55%), linseed oil (44.25%), vitamin E [RRR-alfatocoferol] (0.75%)
